PUBLIC NOTICE- MAY COMMISSION MEETING- The Stroud Area Regional Police Commission will hold its regularly scheduled public meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 7:00 P.M. A quorum will be present in person at the Stroud Area Regional Police Department Headquarters Public Meeting Room, 100 Day Street, East Stroudsburg, Pa., 18301. Those members of the Commission not present will attend virtually via Zoom. Those present at the meeting shall maintain safe social distancing and wear masks. Up to 10 members of the public will be allowed in the Public Meeting Room in order to attend the meeting conditioned upon all wearing masks and maintaining safe social distancing. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the virtual meeting via the Stroud Area Regional Police Department’s Facebook livestream application. Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting, an Executive Session not open to the public concerning labor negotiations will occur at 6:00 P.M. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct its regular course of business and to address any matters that may come before it at the time. The agenda can be found HERE.
PUBLIC NOTICE- APRIL COMMISSION MEETING- Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the regularly scheduled April Commission meeting has been rescheduled to April 22, 2020 at 7:00 PM and will be held via audio and video conferencing online. The public may view and comment on this meeting via a Facebook Live event viewable on the SARPD’s Facebook page. The public may also submit questions or comments via email, prior to 6:00PM to the Chief at email@example.com. SARPD Declaration of Emergency Disaster
On 3/27/20 at 8:30 A.M. the Stroud Area Regional Police Commission held a special meeting at which time the commission issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency in response to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying public health concerns. This action follows the emergency declaration put forth by Federal, State and our local municipalities; East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg Boroughs and the Township of Stroud.
By issuing this Declaration of Disaster Emergency, the Stroud Area Regional Police Department can better meet the demanding needs of the residents we serve.
